I purchased this item for my Mum as she received Amazon vouchers from her niece in Australia and we could not spend the voucher on Amazon.co.uk which I found extremely irritating so had to find something to buy on Amazon.com!! Normally we only use the UK site for obvious reasons but nevertheless however I tried I could not use the damn voucher for what she wanted to buy which were books as the cost of shipping would cost more than the price of the books!!Still as for the cardigan, it is a very nice item and good quality BUT my mum says it's quite thin for a such an expensive garment! As for washing it she hasn't worn it that much so can't really comment on that but she is quite happy with it and at the grand old age of 90 she knows what she's talking about when it comes to quality!! Even so I still had to pay for shipping to the UK so overall it's not an economical way to purchase a nice cardigan as this but that has nothing to do with the supplier whatsoever so please ignore that little rant as the problem lies with Amazon for not being able to use their vouchers across all their sites!
