true to color in pic - dark plum-like purple. Material is thinner looking in person but I like it better than the thicker ones. I ordered 2x - remember these are small bolero jackets, that said - I think it runs fairly true to size - the arms are NOT super skinny like these sometimes tend to be so it actually fits pretty well. Only possible downside is that the curved trim in from want to turn out sometimes but I am very happy with it and like it a lot!!***My only complaint would be for the inflated shipping cost - no box or padding, just a plastic envelope that costed no where near $8.00. It was sufficiently packed but was over-charged.
